It’s always a treat to visit my grandparents beach house, a magical Mediterranean style house right across the street from the ocean. My grandmother and her good friend and decorator, John Oetgen, used pool blue throughout the house to pull in the pool in the backyard, and keep things beachy without going nautical.

The result is a spectacularly aquamarine-colored retreat perfectly balanced with the comforts of a primary residence. How cool is that?
