Valentine’s Day can be the perfect time to entertain – whether you’re a singleton or celebrating a relationship. Why not create a rosy-hued soiree and invite friends over for some delicious appetizers? I set out a spread with deviled eggs, salmon roe, root chips with creme fraîche, and lots of warm-toned entertaining accessories. With a vintage red and white tablecloth as my backdrop, I brought in blush NAPKINS and gold NAPKIN RINGS to add warmth to the table, keeping the dinnerware simple with the subtle patterns of the ECLECTIQUE COLLECTION from Williams-Sonoma. With the touch of gold from these CERAMIC SPOONS, it all came together in the evening sun’s warm glow. Check out my four steps for creating your own appetizer party below!
It feels like we’re only days into 2017, but the beginning of February is already upon us and February 14th is just around the corner! While Valentine’s Day might seem like a sad holiday for some, I enjoy embracing the love-liness of the rosy-hued holiday – love for friends, family, and significant others of course! It’s a great holiday for celebrating all the things we love in our life, and sharing a few thoughtful gifts is always fun. I’ve been embracing blush ever since I used it behind the bar in my mom’s living room, so I can’t wait to share lots of the color this week, in this gift guide and in my next few posts with entertaining and design inspiration for next Tuesday. In this guide you’ll find everything from abstract art to chic jewelry (from the designer I always gift to my mom) and lots of luxe gifts in-between. Click through to shop my picks! Read More

Valentine’s Day can be such a joyful holiday when you embrace all the different kinds of love in your life – not just significant others but also family and dear friends. It can be easy to give someone a little reminder that you love them, especially when you can pick up Valentine’s Day cards and candy (like some special M&M’s) to make the perfect little gift. While candy and a card might not seem very original, it’s all in the presentation. Try grouping up the items with a unique bouquet of flowers – try to find three different blooms to make a sophisticated little arrangement, then tie a bow around the bouquet to make a classic nosegay. After rinsing and cutting the flower stems, place them in a vase of M&M’s for a fun twist on rocks at the bottom of the vessel. Pair the sweet, edible arrangement with a card (make sure to add your own handwriting on the inside) for an easy way to send someone your love. See how I put it together below!
I’m excited to continue a little tradition I established two years ago, to collaborate with a handful of my favorite Etsy shops to bring a giveaway of handmade art, decor, and accessories to my readers to celebrate small businesses and artisanal makers that create some of the most unique products and gifts out there. This year’s giveaway is full of modern pieces for the home that caught my eye over the last year. From a glass French press to the organic shapes of gold-rimmed bowls, the subtle details in these items are beautiful reminders of what makes handmade items so special. Learn more about the shops that are participating in this giveaway below, and enter to win seven products – a French press, salt and pepper shakers, a calendar, and three art prints!
Unless you’re super strong and can bike anywhere in the city (like my dad), Atlanta’s a hard city to get around in without a car, partly due to our urban sprawl and partly due to an underdeveloped public transportation system. But needless to say, cars and car insurance are a pretty important part of living in Atlanta. Luckily, it’s easy to have peace of mind on the road with car insurance coverage you can count on – like the 24/7 customer service, mobile app, and money-saving features from Esurance. It’s nice to know that your auto insurance isn’t a hassle and that you can afford it too while spending so much time behind the wheel. My little sister Grace and I took some time this week to explore some of our favorite places in Atlanta to visit, eat, and shop during the holiday season. We stopped by Shops of Buckhead for a walk with Milou and a visit to Cacao and Corso Coffee, then swung by Westside Provisions for a peek into Le Jardin Francais. Inspired by the holiday spirit in the air, I pulled together some of the top activities, restaurants, cafés, and shops to explore this season in Atlanta. Although the holiday traffic may be bad, it’s reassuring to know that Esurance has your back with coverage you can rely on.
